My name is Kris Darmody and I am a photographer living and working in Melbourne, Australia. When I am not taking pictures I am working as a film & television lawyer. Over the past 22 years, I have slowly, steadily and deliberately shrunk my daily commute to work and altered my mode of transportation from over 60 minutes in a car, to 30 minutes in a train and the odd bus and train or two - to a brisk 15 minute walk door to door. Maths isnt my strong point and so I cant tell you the number of route combinations from which I can chose each morning - what I can tell you though is that no 2 mornings are ever the same. I started onmywalktowork because I love my city and I love taking photos. Each morning I see something else, I learn something more and I make something new. It’s a simple idea – each day I work, I photograph and upload a moment from Melbourne captured through my lens onmywalktowork.
